课程基本要求:

《西方文学中的医学叙事》选取西方文学作品（小说诗歌传记等）中与疾病叙事、患者所受疾苦、医生形象、医生归纳传递医疗知识等主题有关的文本，集中讨论与疾病、疼痛、心理健康、衰老、死亡等相关的话题，从而潜移默化地培养医学生观照、倾听、诉说疾病的叙事能力，在治疗活动中帮助其理解每位病人构建自己故事时的不同模式，使其能更好地回应患者的故事和困境，同时运用移情能力，更清晰地表达自己，与患者进行深入有效的沟通和交流，并通过对自我行为的反思，来提高自己的专业能力，这是一门融医学人文知识、英语语言能力、医学叙事能力于一体的课程。本课程将用10周，28课时进行讲授。

MedicalNarratives in Western Literature selects texts from Westernliterature (novels, poems, biographies, etc.) that relate to thenarrative of illness, the suffering of patients, the image of thephysician, and the physician's ability to synthesize and conveymedical knowledge, and focuses on topics related to illness, pain,mental health, aging, death, etc., in order to instill in medicalstudents the narrative ability to observe, listen to, and talk aboutillness, and in their therapeutic activities. This is a course thatcombines medical humanities knowledge, English language skills, andmedical storytelling skills to help them understand the differentways in which each patient constructs his or her story so that theycan better respond to the stories and dilemmas of their patients, aswell as use their empathy to express themselves more clearly,communicate deeply and effectively with their patients, and improvetheir own professional competence through reflection on their ownbehavior. This course will be taught in 10 weeks, 28 lecture hours.

大纲内容：

一、教学目标

1．通过阅读文学作品，使学生意识到面对慢性病、残疾、死亡、抑郁和苦难等人类生存状况问题，使用科学技术以外的力量和智慧来应对的重要意义。同时通过培养学生的细读能力，注重其对故事的体验和想象力，使没有经历过疾病折磨、没有经历过家人死亡的学生去感受这些经历给人带来的痛苦和恐惧，有助于深入病人的内心世界，反思医生在这些人生关键时刻的作用。

2.提升学生更清晰地表达自己,更理智地处理自己感情,具备高超倾听技巧以及从比喻和潜台词中发现隐藏信息的能力,提高对患者的共情能力、职业精神、可信赖程度和对自己的反思。

3. 思考在中国文化背景下,医患对话的结构特征,医患不同的解释机制,医患构建故事的不同话语形式和策略,归纳出影响医患成功交流的叙事因素。

4.提升未来医疗从业者的人文素养和人文精神，帮助他们更好地应对医学实践中医生与病人、医生与自己、医生与同事、医生与社会的重要关系。
