课程基本要求:

（中/外）经过28个学时的《医学英语应用（一）》系统学习，学生掌握基本的医学术语的来源、构词规律；通过一些有关身体的组织、器官、系统中疾病的症状、诊断、治疗等术语的应用场景，进一步习得医学术语的应用规律，为将来专业学术的交流奠定基础

Uponthe completion of this programmed learning approach,students are asked to present an ability inthe understanding of word-building method for developing amedical vocabulary in an effective and interesting manner. Inthe traditional classroom setting,with the teacher an instructorwho presents the terms about a tissue, or an organ, or a system,andterms applicable in the description of the signs and symptoms of acondition, the diagnosis, and the management  as well, the studentsare guided through exercises toreinforce their understanding of medicalterminology.Numerous activities in eachunit are designed to enable the student to be mentally and physicallyinvolved in the learning process. With this method the student willnot only understand but also remember the significant concepts ofmedical word building.

大纲内容：

1. 前言：

基于教育部明确的新时期大学英语教学ESP的发展方向和新形势下我国人才培养目标，我校在英语及专业能力突出的针英（八年制）专业学生中积极开展《医学英语应用》系列课程的教学，以期加快加强他们的专门用途语言的应用能力，为我国传统中医药向全球传播打下坚实的基础。

二.教学要求和内容、方法

医学英语应用（一）的教学遵循外语教学的一般规律，又必须密切联系医药实际，切实做到学以致用。在学习时以术语的来源和构词为基础，掌握必要的语法规则。以消化系统以及呼吸系统临床疾病为例，教学相关解剖结构（组织、器官、系统）、疾病的症状、诊断、治疗的医学术语（包括缩略语）。在教学过程中，教师赋予学生学习术语的理解及记忆的方法，督促学生多读、多写、多听、多译，结合所学专业涉及的更多专业术语，比较术语与普通英语之间的差异，加深对实际使用中遵从伦理学原则的价值和意义，提升他们的医学人文素养。
